Free Wedding Dress!

I absolutely love that this is happening.  Next month there are going to be bridal shops giving away wedding dresses to couples!  Here are the qualifications from the WEBSITE.

How To Qualify:
You must be engaged, or had a civil ceremony and
planning a wedding within the next 18 months.

You or your fiance were deployed within the past 5 years to Iraq, Afghanistan, Qatar, Bahrain, Libya and Japan
and have not had a formal wedding.

or
You or your Fiance will be deploying to Afghanistan, Iraq, Qatar, Libya, Bahrain and Japan.

All military brides must bring drivers license or military ID.

Qualifying proof must accompany the bride on day of event:
Copy of deployment papers for you or your Fiance that states the time of deployment and location

You can go HERE to see if there is an event going on near you.  They start next month so you have time to plan if you need to drive a distance.  Since I'm an Army wife that got married at the courthouse I was a little upset I didn't qualify, but I'm glad my husband hasn't had to deploy.  I'd rather have him than a wedding dress!

Giveaway Winner!!!

I am happy to announce after using Random.org to choose the winner, and verifying their entry that the winner is....

LaRhonda White!

Please send your contact info to AmberDanzy@yahoo.com and let me know which subscription you would like!

Are you practicing Coupon Fraud??

So I did a preview to this topic last night.  I pretty much am fed up with all these people making others feel bad for doing something against what a coupon states.  Now before you jump in the deep end, let's just get your feet wet.  I am by no means talking about blatant coupon fraud like copying coupons, using counterfeit coupons, or doing that whole "family code" thing.  If you're purposely planning trips using fraudulent means then yes, you are doing things incredibly wrong.  What I'm referring to are those small things that won't send you to jail, but others are ready to lock you up for it.
So in addition to the CoverGirl incident I talked about last night, I just recently saw a person getting scolded for not breaking down her trip and using more than 4 like P&G coupons.  She had said that she was going to do separate ones from the beginning but that the cashier told her not to worry about it and she'll just do it all at once.  I'd like your advice on this.  Was she supposed to tell the cashier no? Even so was it warranted the reaction she got of being made an example of what not to do?  The reply I saw said, to all the new couponers DO NOT COPY this.  In my eyes, if I initially made it obvious I was doing the right thing but the cashier doesn't want to do it that way, and I am getting no monetary gain from the change what's the big deal?  It's not hurting other shoppers and at that point the responsibility went onto the cashier.  So instead of yelling at the customer, yell at the cashier for practicing "coupon fraud."
I may get a lot of mixed feedback on this, but I have a feeling those that don't agree with me are like the people I'm aiming this post at.  So I'm going to end with this.  When you use coupons that state Do Not Double and take it to a store that doubles and watch the register double the coupon, what do you do?  Do you wave down the cashier to stop what she's doing and take off those extra savings because that coupon said Do Not Double?  I doubt it.  Not all restrictions on a coupon are aimed solely at the consumer.  Everyone involved in the transaction are responsible for various parts.  So if you feel like you absolutely have to place blame somewhere, make sure it's in the right direction.

WinSpinWin and Slots4Cash

I'm not sure if many of my readers have ever used these sites, but I have a feeling a lot of people in general are wondering what's going on with these sites and if they're getting paid.  Well, I was a member of both of them and I cashed out about a month and a half ago.  Once I cashed out, I never went back to the site until one day I remembered I had 21 bucks coming.  I went back last week and it said my payment was processed so I waited patiently.  Well, I got my surprise today in the mail!  So I decided to go back to the site since now I felt a little more comfortable with it since I got paid.  Then I was greeted with this.
This seemed to have come out of left field.  Then I remember Slots4Cash was the same company and I hadn't quite made enough on there to cash out.  My visit to that site gave me the same message only with the different name.

I'm not sure what happened to them, but it was probably something to do with all the people screaming scam on multiple sites due to not getting credited their spins.  This is the main reason I NEVER pay for anything on these sites.  I was lucky enough to always get youtube videos/commercials to watch.  Anyways, if you were able to cash out before this happened then feel safe that you will probably get your payment, since I did receive mine even though it took a while to get here.  If you were unlucky enough to not cash out, then you're pretty much out of luck and wasted that time.

Because I'm always looking for ways to make money, I tried these sites, but I generally wouldn't reccommend  them.  They take too much time and you have to spread your info all over the globe to who knows what.  It's not worth the risk.  Better options are legitimate survey sites like Synovate or doing focus group surveys.

All You special!

Dealicious: Smiley360

So my next dealicious website is Smiley360. The whole purpose of this site is to review and talk about brands.  Once you setup your profile they will send you invitations to review items that you get to keep.  All they ask is that you share your experience and let them know how you shared and what the outcome was.
Today, I got a package on my doorstep from them so I'll give an example of how this works.  I got an email invitation a couple of weeks ago for a PAM review and was accepted.  Here is what came in my box.

1. Coupon for a FREE Hunt's canned tomatoes
2. Coupon for a FREE PAM cooking spray
3. Spatula
4. 9x13 glass Pyrex dish
5. Instructions with recipes

My objective is to make a sticky, gooey recipe using the PAM and test how well it works.  Afterwards, share my experience with anyone that will listen and give my feedback on the website.  I will also have access to share a link to a .50 off coupon!

I plan on doing my review tonight or tomorrow and will share with everyone on here and Youtube.  I will also make sure you have access to that coupon!  They have lots of different projects going on right now, but this was the only one I've been invited to, so make sure you check it out and see waht's in store for you!

Topic Preview!

I just got inspired!  Tomorrow I'm going to be typing up a post on how much you coupon "by the book."  This may go against the grain, but lately I've been irked by how quickly people are critizing others.  One example is the CoverGirl $8/2 coveted coupon and what products qualify for it's use.  We've heard different things from CoverGirl from anything that goes on your face to only foundation, blush, concealer, and powder.  I've read so many times where someone said they used it on eyeshadow and then treated like they had leprosy, because apparently Covergirl said only the foundation type products were acceptable.  If this is so and they're commiting coupon fraud like you say then why are so many people STILL able to call customer service and get both answers?

People are so quick to throw the phrase "coupon fraud" towards people.  So tomorrow I'll touch on a couple other topics like coupon limits and doubling.  I want to show that even the best of us make mistakes or even do things knowingly wrong but we're not criminals and shouldn't be treated as such.

One thing that makes couponing great is the savings and the other is that it's friendly fun.  Let's keep it that way!

Dealicious: ExpoTV

My dealicious site for today is ExpoTV.  This is a must join site if you have a video camera or webcam.  I've been a member since last month and I have already redeemed points for a $25 gift card to Payless and a $25 visa online gift code!  The great thing about this site is that you don't have to do meaningless point and click or refer a bunch of people.  I feel like a lot of places blogs talk about are only great moneymakers for them because they have so many people sign up under them.  This is not the case with this site!
The basic concept is you review anything on your camera! You are open to doing anything you want but they have certain brands or items that you can review for points.  Right now, you can do Gain products, Oral B battery toothbrushes, or Head & Shoulders among many others.  The general payout is 500 points for a paid video.
They also have other options to gain rewards and that is their Tryology program.  Last month, I got accepted to do a L'oreal Sublime Mousse and a Bisquick video and got free products!  Right now they are doing a Smart Ones frozen meals and soon will be launching Tresemme and Febreze programs.  These programs give free products and points as well, but details vary per item.
When it comes to reward options, they have a VAST variety of options to fit any interests!  The options I chose were 3000 points each, so in a months time I earned 6000 points doing quick videos.  You don't have to make that many points to get a reward though because their rewards start at 600 points like a $5 Amazon e-gift card.
Definitely check this site out and see for yourself what they have to offer.  You won't be disappointed!

Dealicious: Lot18

Just wanted to showcase Lot18 today.  Lot18 is a site specializing in wine, gourmet foods, dishes, and now trips at discounted prices.  A while back they started doing a deal for a free $10 credit to new customers.  I signed up back then and ended up using it for a free bottle of wine during a free shipping special.  Well, last week they sent out an email to those previous customers giving a free $20 credit!  If you got it as well, there's something you can use it for that was listed today.
I definitely snagged this deal!  In combination with their free shipping going on from 4-7 EDT today, I'm getting this box totally FREE.
Update! The chocolate is now sold out!  That was fast!

If you'd like to check out Lot18 and look at all they have to offer, you can go HERE.  They are still doing the $10 credit, and have offers in all kinds of price ranges.  There was word that if you added something to your cart and left the site, a day or 2 later they will send you an email for an additional $10 credit.  It's well worth a shot!

Plaza Research survey

If you are available on October 24th for an hour long phone call, Plaza Research is looking for people in different categories regarding tax refunds.  Compensation is $100 for chosen participants and you will be contacted if you prequalify through the SCREENER SURVEY

Huggies Slip-on Diapers Review

So if you have a little one and also coupon, then I'm sure you may have tried these diapers.  I definitely stocked up on them when they went on sale at Walgreens about a month ago.  I will say I'm only using them now because I don't want to waste them.
I am a Pampers Swaddlers mom.  I love how soft they are and never have problems with them.  I figured since there was such a great deal on these I should try them out.  I got the size 3 since my son at the time was about 16 pounds.  The sizing on the package says the 3 is for a 16 to 28 pound baby so I figured these will be a tad large on him.  Imagine my surprise when they seemed a little small and I had to make sure his little butt was covered to prevent any blowouts.
That's still not that major of a problem, since it can be solved by buying larger diapers.  I do have an issue with the whole purpose of these diapers.  They are meant for those squirmy babies that can't sit still for a diaper change so you can just slip these on.  My baby actually stays pretty still for changes but likes to kick his legs back and forth.  Just this little movement made it near impossible to put these on these first few times.  Once I got one leg in, the other would slip out.  After thinking it through, I just put my hands through the leg holes, and grabbed his legs and pulled the diaper on him.  Then I had to stand him up to pull it up the rest of the way.  My husband, who was totally confused when I told him what to do, decided it was easier to just undo the diaper and put it on like a normal one haha.
Then, I had the final straw when I saw that my son was getting a rash all over.  Now, he NEVER got a rash while wearing his Swaddlers.  The tube of diaper cream we got while I was still pregnant is still full because we never had to use it until these diapers.  Once I changed back to his old diapers, the rash went away.
So if you are thinking about using these diapers, I have a few pointers.  Get a larger size.  If you already use Huggies, then try these but not if your baby is used to the softness of Swaddlers.  I would suggest these for kids that can already stand on their own and step into these.  If your baby can't yet, then the whole purpose of the diaper is useless and makes them even more difficult to use.
I may try them again when my son get older as an alternative to Pull-ups but until he gets that old, I'm sticking with my Pampers.

Hope you found my first review helpful!  Let me know what you think about these diapers, as I'm sure there are lots of different opinions out there.  If you have any thing you'd like for me to review or give my honest opinion on, please let me know!

Hello Again!

It feels great to be back!  So if you follow my Youtube videos, then you know I've been pretty busy.  With a 6 month old, and being a full time student, trying to blog, update facebook, and find time to do videos is like having 3 full time jobs.  I'm going to try and get this up and going again since I feel like I'm starting to get my time management on point now.

I have been doing a lot of surveys though and will start posting different ones that you can try joining in as well.  Of course I will post the freebies I find and any great deals.  I hope to start doing some reviews for you guys as well and doing some "mommy" things!  I hope this comeback will be a good one!
